Charlotte Observer Endorses Hudson
“In the Republican primary for the 8th District, five candidates are vying to challenge the Democratic winner. Only two, N.C. Rep. Fred F. Steen and Richard Hudson… are worth considering.
…But we think Hudson’s background and experience make him the better choice. The 40-year-old from Concord owns a marketing company but touts his experience working in Washington on Hayes’ staff as a key asset. He has developed key relationships and knows how things work, he said: ‘I won’t need on-the-job training. I actually know how to take conservative ideas and turn them into conservative policies.’
He also touts his deep ties to the district and his plan to focus on constituent service and being accessible and visible in the district.
Hudson has the endorsement of top N.C. Republicans including former N.C. congressman and ex-Gov. Jim Martin. We recommend Richard Hudson in the 8th District Republican primary.”
